What you need to know about this experience
A La Gomera jeep safari is a day trip that combines the ferry from Los Cristianos with a tour of the island in a 4×4 vehicle and a small group, instead of by coach. The itinerary usually includes Garajonay National Park (Parque Nacional de Garajonay) and several viewpoints.
The ferry, the timetables and the time available on the island are the same as on the standard La Gomera day trip. What changes is the vehicle, the group size and, sometimes, the roads covered.

What you usually see
- San Sebastián de La Gomera, when the ferry arrives.
- Garajonay National Park, with its laurel forest.
- Viewpoints over ravines and rock pinnacles (roques).
- Hamlets in the north, depending on the route.
Who it suits
- Small groups and couples who would rather not travel by coach.
- Anyone who wants more room for stops and photos.
- Travellers who already know Tenerife and want something different.

- Anyone prone to motion sickness: La Gomera’s roads have many bends, and you feel them more in a 4×4.
