Before you choose

What you need to know about this experience

A water sports pack is a package that combines several activities at the same base in a single session: for example, jet ski, parasailing, flyboard or towed rides such as the banana boat. You book them together, and it usually works out cheaper than each activity separately.

This page helps you know what they usually include, how the time is split and when they are really worth it.

When it is worth it

  • If you are a group and want to try several things on the same day.
  • If you are staying near the base and do not want to travel several times.
  • If the combined price is clearly lower than the sum of the individual activities.

When it is not worth it: if you are only interested in one activity and would rather spend more time on it. In that case, book it on its own with more minutes.

How the time is split

Even if the pack takes up several hours, the actual activity time is usually short: between each one there is waiting, changing equipment and boat transfers. Ask:

  • How many minutes each activitand thests.
  • How long you wait between them.
  • Whether the group is split into turns.

Requirements: each activity has its own

  • Jet ski: minimum driver age, usually 18, or 16 with consent.
  • Parasailing: minimum and maximum weight per flight.
  • Flyboard: age and weight; you must be able to swim.
  • All: compulsory life jacket and safety briefing.

If you are a group with different ages, check beforehand who can do what.

Who it suits

  • Groups of friends and stag and hen parties.
  • Families with teenagers.
  • Travellers with just one day on the coast who want to try several things.

Who it may not suit, and what to weigh up

  • Anyone who gets seasick easily.
  • Anyone who cannot swim: some activities require it.
  • Anyone looking for peace and quiet: these are noisy activities with a lot of movement.

How to choose well

  1. Which activities are included, and how many minutes each?
  2. Are they all done at the same base?
  3. What are the requirements for each activity?
  4. How long does the whole session last?
  5. Is there a transfer from the hotel?
  6. What happens if an activity is cancelled because of the sea? Is it deducted or swapped?
  7. Is there a real discount compared with booking them separately?
